Programme and Speakers

The virtual Academy aims to facilitate exchange on an equal footing between different actors, regions and levels of governance. A cooperative, peer-to-peer and multi-actor approach will be used, with explicit efforts to recruit and empower participants representing or advocating for vulnerable communities. No lectures or traditional teaching methods are used. Instead, participatory and inclusive methods will help bring together and synthesise different experiences, perspectives and approaches. All participants are encouraged to contribute actively. The Academy will seek to create conditions that enable participation on an equal footing, with particular attention to the meaningful involvement of persons and groups that are often underrepresented in relevant decision-making processes.

Academy programme

The outcomes of the Academy are presented at a high-level Conference, which also takes place virtually. Senior representatives of the organisers and target groups discuss the way forward and the implementation of the recommendations and encouragements for local authorities developed during the Academy.
The Conference is available with interpretation in English, French, German and Spanish.
